LADIES OC SPRAY COURSE (PEPPER SPRAY)

Brief Description of Course/Objectives of Course:

This hands-on medical class focuses on lifesaving skills for cardiac emergencies. Students will learn how to recognize the signs of cardiac arrest, perform effective CPR, and use an Automated External Defibrillator (AED). Emphasis is placed on rapid response, proper technique, and building confidence to act decisively in a real emergency. No prior medical training required.

 

ADVANCED CLASSES

The question often gets asked, what is the next step after completing the CCW Course? The Defensive Pistol Program (DPP) is a comprehensive, multi-level training curriculum designed to equip students with the necessary skills to effectively and responsibly defend themselves. There are only 6 Certified DPP Instructors in the State of Ohio, with Lake Erie Arms lucky enough to have 2 on staff.

ADVANCED CONCEALED CARRY COURSE (CCW)

This class is designed for experienced concealed carry holders who want to sharpen their defensive shooting skills and expand their tactical knowledge. Students will focus on advanced techniques such as drawing from concealment under stress, close quarters tactics, reloading, positional shooting, low level light, and more.  In addition, students will be engaged in discussion on legal considerations, situational awareness, and decision-making under pressure are emphasized to ensure safe and effective carry practices. Participants must have prior concealed carry training and solid firearm handling fundamentals.

LOW LEVEL LIGHT COURSE

  • Handgun or Revolver

  • Handgun w/ minimum of three high cap magazines or speed loaders

  • Holster (NO SHOULDER RIG, TRIGGER FINGER BUTTON RELEASE, OR CROSS DRAW HOLSTERS)

This course trains students to operate a firearm safely and effectively in low-light and no-light conditions. Participants will learn flashlight techniques, target identification, and engagement strategies while managing reduced visibility. Emphasis is placed on weapon handling, decision-making, and building confidence in defensive scenarios where lighting is limited. Prior handgun experience required.

This course teaches shooters how to effectively use cover and concealment in defensive situations. Students will learn the difference between cover and concealment, how to minimize exposure, and how to engage targets safely and accurately from behind various barricades and obstacles. The class emphasizes movement, positioning, and decision-making to build confidence in real-world defensive scenarios. Prior firearms safety and basic handgun handling experience required. 

DEFENSIVE RIFLE PROGRAM

Students will practice drawing, shooting, and reloading while moving in multiple directions, as well as using cover and managing recoil under motion. The class emphasizes balance, accuracy, and decision-making in real-world defensive scenarios. Prior firearms training required.

KNIFE WEAPON RETENTION

Brief Description of Course/Objectives of Course:

To identify the deployment, proper use of force, and defensive use of a knife as a secondary retention tool for a primary weapon (Typically a firearm). This course teaches students how to maintain control of a defensive knife in close-quarters encounters. Participants will learn techniques to prevent disarm attempts, counter common grabs, and use body positioning and movement to retain their weapon under pressure. The class emphasizes practical, hands-on training to build confidence and effectiveness in real-world self-defense situations.

AR – 15 BUILD CLASS
