Class Description:

This class will teach you how to safely and legally carry a concealed firearm. It will cover both the legal aspects of concealed carry in Ohio and the practical skills needed for safely handling a handgun. This class meets the training requirements for obtaining a Concealed Handgun License (CHL) in Ohio.

Have you ever wanted to build your own AR but didn't know where to start?  Let us guide you through building your own AR platform rifle from the ground up!  In this 2-3 hour class, learn to build your own custom AR-15 step-by-step from our experienced gunsmith to fit your own personal desire and purpose.

In Class you will:

• Build a duty grade AR-15 guided by our Gunsmith

• Introduction to the AR-15 Platform

• Basic assembly of lower receiver

• Basic assembly of upper receiver

• Range safety briefing

• Trouble shooting

• Stoppages & malfunctions

• Live fire testing (5 rounds provided)  ** Student may purchase more ammo to test fire more

The course is designed to be tailored for each person, no matter what age or physical limitations. During this class we will discuss mindset and deploy empty hand techniques.  

Instructor Corey Lewis has over 44 years of Martial Arts experience. He runs SJK Martials arts dojo and studies and hold ranks in many other arts. Well rounded, Sensei Lewis has a no nonsense approach to self defense and will teach real world techniques that work no matter your size or ability level.

Want to go shoot on our range or learn to defend yourself with a pistol, but you're not confident in your ability to handle a gun in a safe manor? In this class you will learn the basics of handgun safety from our qualified pistol instructors.

In this class:

• You will learn safe handling of firearms

• You will learn about the various parts of the handgun, the ammunition they use, and how to properly handle and store them

• You will learn how to load and unload a variety of common handguns

What to bring:

• No equipment is necessary - but if you own a handgun and would like to bring it, you are welcome to do so. We ask that you please make sure the firearm is unloaded and kept in a case when entering our facility and classroom, and that it does not come out of the case until it is inspected by the instructor.
