The Civilian Marksmanship Program (CMP) is excited to continue its partnership with Lake Erie Arms by offering a new competition during Pistol Week of the National Matches!

The CMP Bullseye Competition will be held July 13-19 within the Lake Erie Arms (LEA) 94,000-square-foot facility in Milan – just a short drive from Camp Perry, where the National Matches have been held since 1907.

The competition will feature a 30-shot National Match Course of Fire in two classes: Rimfire and Centerfire. Those interested will be able to compete at any time during the week, and, since this will be a re-entry event, may return as many times as possible!

First competition score is $20 and each additional entry marked at a discounted price – a perfect way to gain extra practice!

“We’re very happy to again team up with Lake Erie Arms to not only promote their incredible facility but also to offer our competitors another opportunity to compete while in town for the National Matches,” said Jim Henderson, CMP Pistol Manager. “This will be a great way for both seasoned competitors and those new to the game to earn some extra range time and, of course, some extra fun.”

The bullseye course is programmed into the target system, meaning each competitor will control his or her own match without voice commands. Once completed, scorecards and targets will be turned in at Lake Erie Arms for official scoring with results posted on the Lake Erie Arms website.

Prizes for each class include:

·         First: $100 CMP Gift Certificate

·         Second: $75 CMP Gift Certificate

·         Third: $50 CMP Gift Certificate

Those competing can enjoy the LEA café, which is open to the public, and if space is available, a complimentary pass to LEA’s Caliber Club – a gourmet addition to the 25-yard and 100-yard ranges, indoor clay house found on the grounds.
