Top 3 Firearms for Female Shooters.

Dan and Greg talk about the top three firearms for women shooters. Choosing a firearm for self-defense is a decision best made after taking the CCW course when you have had the chance to try some range guns and know a little bit more about how you will carry. However, we’ve taken a moment to discuss a few important things to take into consideration when purchasing your CCW firearm. In the process, we have featured 3 guns that we recommend. While we are featuring guns for female shooters, these are great guns for men as well.

Gun Safety: What Do I Need To Know?

If you’ve never gone through a basic gun safety course (or even if you have), this short video is for you. It covers the basics about how to handle a gun safely before you ever put your hands on one. Check out the video, but remember that there is no substitute for hands-on training. If you really want to have the best safety training possible, sign up for our concealed carry course.

Basic Handgun Function

This animated video shows a cutaway of a functioning semi-automatic handgun. In addition to being a really cool video, this illustration helps you see how a gun works internally. This video from 45Snipers is a great way to get to know guns inside and out as you are starting your career as a gun owner. If you are considering a Glock 43 (which is an ideal gun for defense), they have another video specifically showing your gun. Additionally, here is a detailed video showing trigger resets for semi-auto handguns.

Should I Take A Concealed Carry Class?

Yes! We find that women love our CCW classes as much as men. In many (maybe most) cases, the ladies outdo the men during the range qualification portion of the class. There really is no better way to try out some guns and learn about safety and defense than to take our Concealed Carry (CCW) Class.

Do I Need One-On-One Training?

This video talks about what you get out of one on one training. There are some great drills that you learn that will make you more proficient and better equipped to defend yourself. The world seems to have gone crazy. Get as equipped as you can. Increase your response time and be prepared to save your life. How To Clean A Handgun

Cleaning a gun is relatively easy once you have done it once. The gun in this video happens to be a Glock, but the basic takedown and cleaning process is the same for most semi-automatic handguns. As always, make sure there is NO AMMUNITION in the room where you are cleaning. A large number of firearms accidents happen when cleaning, so be sure to go the extra mile on safety by putting the ammunition away. You’ve got this.
